Tamil land still occupied in Sri Lanka says Wigneswaran on India trip!

The Sri Lankan government has not done anything to reduce the military footprint in the North-East and oust Sinhalese who illegally occupy Tamil lands and houses said the Northern Provincial Council Chief Minister CV Wigneswaran whilst in Tamil Nadu.
Mr Wigneswaran said that the Tamils that remained on the island faced serious problems from the Sinhalese, reports The Hindu.
Speaking to reporters in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, he said that Sinhalese had occupied properties of Tamils that fled the country due to the ethnic conflict, and that the Sri Lanka’s government had taken no steps to repatriate displaced Tamils.
The Chief Minister added that the presence of 150,000 military personnel in the North-East posed severe problems for the fishermen and local economy.
