CBSE to Conduct Fresh Exams for Affected Students!!

CBSE has also released a list of 86 schools affected by the order.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a notification on Thursday, 27 February, announced that it will conduct fresh exams for students who have not been able to appear for papers in other parts of the national capital due to the violence in northeast Delhi.


"The board has asked school principals to send the details to regional offices concerned of the CBSE of all such students of Class 10, 12 who have missed out on the exams so far in Delhi, due to these difficult conditions," the notification said.CBSE"To reduce the stress on students, the board will conduct fresh exams for these students. The next date of exam for affected students will be notified shortly."
So far, board exams for the following subjects have been postponed in northeast Delhi:

On Wednesday, 26 February (Class 10):

101 - English Communicative
184 - English Language & Literature
On Wednesday, 26 February (Class 12):

796 - Web Application (Old)
803 - Web Application (New)
821 - Media
On Thursday, 27 February (Class 12):

001 - English Elective
101 - English Elective C
301 - English Core
For the rest of Delhi, exams were conducted as per schedule along with the rest of the country.


The announcement came after Delhi High Court said class 10 and 12 students, who have board examination centres in violence-hit northeast Delhi, need to be informed in one go about the schedule for the next 10-15 days and not on a piecemeal basis.

Justice Rajiv Shakdher said the situation in northeast Delhi is getting worse and there have been more deaths and, therefore, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) needs to take a call for the next 10-15 days.

The direction by the court came after the CBSE on Wednesday said that the exams in 86 schools in the violence-hit northeast Delhi have been postponed.

Justice Rajiv Shakdher told the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that the rescheduling of postponed exams is to be done keeping in mind the entrance tests of class 12 students.

"Take decision on board exams in northeast Delhi centres to be held on 27, 28 and 29 February by 5 pm and inform public by 6 pm," said Justice Shakdher.
Earlier, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had tweeted saying that while all schools in northeast Delhi will remain shut tomorrow, he had requested CBSE to postpone Wednesday's exams for the schools.
