Cancer patient dies due to Covid-19!!

 

The Covid-19 death toll in the country rose to 46 with a 63-year-old male cancer patient from Imbulgoda was reported dead as a Covid-19 patient.

According to the Government Information Department, he succumbed to the virus while he was being treated at the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital.

With the PCR conducted on the deceased, the cause of death has been identified as exacerbation of severity of leukemia and respiratory complications due to Covid-19 infection.

This becomes the fifth Covid-19 death reported within today. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
