Mahesh Babu thanks KCR, KTR for 'encouraging' Tollywood with relief measures

 After the likes of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna and others, it's the turn of Mahesh Babu to endorse the relief measures that the KCR government has announced for the Telugu film industry, which has been affected drastically by the pandemic-induced lockdown. The 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor on Tuesday said that the measures are a huge leap for Tollywood.

"Thanking our government for all the relief measures being announced to keep alive the tradition of watching films on the big screen and sustaining the lives of millions working in the industry," the superstar wrote.

In a subsequent tweet, he wrote, "My heartfelt gratitude to @TelanganaCMO @KTRTRS for encouraging us to keep moving forward in the fight against the pandemic."

In related news, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and Producers' Council said that the sops, including the GO that allows the reopening of theatres, will help the industry.
