COVID cases in Piliyandala continue to escalate; over 100 cases each in 10 districts

 

The COVID cases in Piliyandala in the Colombo District continue to rise as 146 more patients out of 413  reported in the Colombo district were from Piliyandala.

A total number of 2,429 cases were reported in the country yesterday with more than 100 patients were identified in 10 districts.

Accordingly, the highest cases were reported from districts were 413 from Colombo, 370 from Kalutara, 332 from Gampaha, 140 from Matara, 136 from Kurunegala, 128 from Galle, 132 from Badulla,  123 from Kandy, 119 from Puttalam and 107 from Matale.

Among the patients reported in the Gampaha district, 87 cases from Biyagama and 39 from Katunayake.

Eight-eight cases in Panadura South 74 patients in Horana were the highest cases reported in the Kalutara District.
