Lankan housemaid hacked to death in Kuwait!!

A 39-year old Sri Lankan woman working as a domestic aide in Kuwait was hacked to death by an Ethiopian housemaid.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the body of the woman was flown to the Bandaranaike International Airport by a Qatar Airways aircraft last morning.

The Katunayake Police began an investigation into the killing and it was revealed that the woman, a resident of Mahawa, left for Kuwait in 2019 to work as housemaid.

It was learnt that she was killed on April 13 this year by an Ethiopian housemaid following an altercation.
