Police seek public assistance to trace COVID-19 escapee

A 28-year-old youth, who had tested positive with COVID-19, has escaped his home at Magazine Road, Borella, Police said.

They said the man identified as Sangeeth Danushka Dabare, had undergone a PCR test on May 26 and had confirmed to have contracted COVID-19.

However, when the police and health officials reached his house to take him to a treatment centre on May 28, he had fled the house even without informing his family members the previous day.
