Twelve areas isolated in three Districts

 

Twelve areas including eleven Grama Niladhari Divisions have been isolated with immediate effect in Gampaha, Galle and Ratnapura districts, Army Commander General Shavenra Silva said.

Meanwhile, isolation status have been lifted in four Grama Niladhari Divisions in Colombo, Ampara and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Newly isolated areas are Palugahawela GN Division in Divulapitiya Police Area in Gampaha District, Karadungoda, Goviyapana, Kahawannagama and Dommangoda GN Divisions of the Ahangama Police Area and Lanumodara, Bonavist and Katukurunda of the Habaraduwa Police Area in Galle District.

In addition, Denawaka Pathakada and Dippitigala GN Divisions of the Palmadulla Police Area and Kuruvita and Town Area in Delgamuwa GN Division of the Kuruvita Police Area in Ratnapura District have been isolated.

Meanwhile, isolation orders have been lifted in Uggalla GN Division of the Padukka Police Area in the Colombo District, Dehiattakandiya in Ampara District, Gonagalla Area in Fordays Watta GN Division, Akkara 30 Area in Fordays Watta GN Division of the Hatton Police Area in Nuwara-Eliya District.
