Colombo tops the list of total COVID cases reported yesterday

 

With a record number of 1,717 COVID positive cases, the Colombo district reported the highest number of 348 cases yesterday, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.

It said the Gampaha district recorded 280 cases while the Kalutara district recorded 198 cases. The Galle district recorded 133 cases yesterday.

Positive cases have been reported from all 25 districts and more than 100 cases have been reported from 4 districts (Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Galle).

More than 50 cases were reported from Kurunegala, Kandy, Kegalle, Puttalam, Ampara, Ratnapura, Badulla and Batticaloa districts.

The highest number of infected people in the Colombo District has been reported from the Narahenpita area and that number is 45.
