Vidya Balan talks about her upcoming film

 

The trailer for Vidya Balan's next film 'Sherni' was released on Wednesday and it features Vidya in a totally news and fresh avatar. The film is set to release on 18th of June and fans are quite excited to witness it. It will follow Vidya's character, a forest officer who is fighting on two fronts. She is out to create a balance between the nature and mankind meanwhile battling the man vs women fight amidst this patriarchal society.

Vidya was quite positive about the script from the start and knew that she had to do it. She says, "Ever since I first heard the story of Sherni, I found the world fascinating and so far removed from my own. Also, the character I play, Vidya, is a woman of few words but many dimensions."

She added, "The film deals with a sensitive topic that touches upon respect, mutual understanding, and co-existence, not just between man-animal, but between humans as well." The film also features Neeraj Kabi, Vijay Raaz, Sharat Saxena, Mukul Chadda, Brijendra Kala and Ila Arun in supporting roles and it'll release digitally on Amazon Prime Video.
