Two SLAF athletes to represent SL at Tokyo Olympic

 Two out of the 9 athletes who will be representing Sri Lanka in the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 are from the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The SLAF said that Corporal Chamara Dharmawardena and Corporal Nimali Liyanaarachchi are to participate in Judo and in the 800 meters respectively.

Chamara Dharmawardena has opportunity to carry the Sri Lankan flag at the Tokyo Olympics Games. He had also previously represented the country at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Nimali Liyanarachchi, 32, the current national champion in the 800m event, won the gold medal in the 800m at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships.
