Appointing Monitoring MPS a waste of time: Sajith

 

  Monitoring of MPS is a waste of public funds, Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa said yesterday." Government should have diverted the funds used for monitoring of the MPS towards the welfare of the people, Mr. Premadasa said after donating medical equipment to Kegalle Hospital under the SJB sponsored ' Wipakshayen Husmak' programme last morning.

" We in the SJB has decided to support people in a situation where the government had forgotten the supreme duty of safeguarding the people in this pandemic situation," Mr. Premadasa said.

The Leader of Opposition charged that all those who were engaged in different scams were henchmen of the government. " It is the henchmen of the government who are behind the NMRA data deleting scam, Antijan tests kit purchase and the medicine purchasing scam," he added.
