New set of policies for Dhamma schools to run under same system!!

 A preliminary discussion on formulating a new set of policies for Dhamma schools held focusing on the need to run Dhamma schools under the same current system by the government.

The discussion took place at the State Ministry of Dhamma Schools, Parivenas and Bhikkhu Education presided by Education State Minister Vijitha Berugoda.

During the discussion, the need to formulate a legal framework for the criteria in formulating the new set of policies was raised.

Special attention was made to appoint an expert committee representing the officials of the Ministry and each religious body in formulating a new set of policies for Dhamma Schools as well as giving priority to the areas that need to be given special attention to run the Dhamma schools related to the respective religions through the same committee. It was suggested that it would be more appropriate to formulate a set of relevant policies. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
