Registrar of Pesticides removed from the post

Registrar of Pesticides, Dr. J.A. Sumith, who issued the Gazette prohibiting ban on Glyphosate has been removed from the post with immediate effect.

According to Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, the Gazette issued by Registrar of Pesticides yesterday lifting ban on five pesticides including Glyphosate will be revoked and the previous Gazette will thereby be validated.
