Court grants bail to activist Shehan Malaka Gamage!!

Civil activist, Shehan Malaka Gamage arrested over a statement he had made on the Easter Sunday bomb attacks during a press conference was today ordered to be released on bail after being produced before Maligakanda Magistrate's Court.

 

The suspect was ordered to be released on a cash bail of Rs.15,000 with two sureties of Rs.500,000 by Maligakanda Magistrate Thanuja Jayatunga.

 

The Criminal Investigations Department had arrested Shehan Malaka Gamage on Monday (14) under section 120 of the Penal Code for allegedly exciting or attempting to excite feelings of disaffection to the State.
