Police raid unlicensed night club in Kollupitiya, 12 foreigners, 2 locals arrested!!

The Kollupitiya Police have arrested 14 suspects including 12 foreign nationals during a raid on an unlicensed night karaoke club in  Kollupitiya last night.

Police said nine foreign nationals, three foreign women and two Sri Lankans were among the arrested.

Police also seized 483 bottles of unlicensed beer, six bottles of wine, one bottle of local liquor from the karaoke lounge.

They said the club was run by a foreign woman.

She was produced before the Fort Magistrate's Court and was released on a fine of Rs. 90,000 after pleading guilty.

The manager of the club was pleaded guilty of possessing illegally imported cigarettes and released after a fine of Rs.60,000.
