Independent group nominations for PM post not referred to Prez as yet: Maithri

 

Although several names have been proposed for the post of Prime Minister, those have not been referred to the President as yet, former President and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Head Maithripala Sirisena said.

He said the names were proposed during a meeting of the government's independent group held yesterday ( May 11).

It was reported that the names of former ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dullas Alahapperuma and Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe were proposed at the meeting.
