Ranil Wickremesinghe is to be sworn in as the eighth Executive President He will be sworn in before Chief justice as the eight Executive President of this country

 

President elect Ranil Wickremesinghe is to be sworn in at the parliament premises today, Parliament source said. He will be sworn in before Chief justice as the eight Executive President of this country. Wickremesinghe is the first to be elected by Parliament as per the the constitution.

Late D.B.Wijetunga was elected uncontested in May 1993 after the demise of R. Premadasa who was the then President.
