5.5mn vehicle registrations, over 4.3 million transactions - QR code system

 
The Power and Energy Ministry said over 5.5 million vehicles have been registered so far and over 4.3 million transactions were completed in the past seven days by refueling with the use of the QR code under the National Fuel Pass system, the Power and Energy Ministry said.

Its Minister, Kanchana Wijesekera, said the fuel was issued for vehicles under the QR code at 1,246 filling stations around the country.

Meanwhile, he said Sri Lanka Transport Board and private buses were given more fuel apart from the standard quota system at 107 SLTB depots.
