Education Ministry requests university lecturers to intervene in evaluating A/L answer scripts

 

While welcoming the decision by the Federation of University Teachers' Union (FUTA) to suspend its trade union action, the Education Ministry requested members to intervene in the starting of the evaluation of Advanced Level (A/L) answer scripts.

While issuing a statement, the Ministry said the Examination Department is now ready to start the evaluation of the A/L answer scripts.

The Ministry informs the FUTA that if it wants to discuss any further issues, it is prepared to do so at any time.

The Ministry also welcomed the decision taken to resume university lectures on Monday (17).

However, the FUTA had decided to temporarily suspend the strike, which they started against the tax policy imposed by the government.

Its trade union action was started in the face of the economic crisis.

The FUTA started its trade union action on March 9.
