Murungan Police have arrested an army soldier who was travelling in a government bus on a schoolgirl who was travelling from Madu area in Mannar to a school in Murungan area.
The incident took place this Wednesday (18) morning.
The student was travelling in a government bus from Madu area to school when the army soldier who was travelling in the bus sexually assaulted the student.
Following this, the schoolgirl lodged a complaint at the Murungan Police Station and the Murungan Police have arrested the army soldier.
The Murungan Police are conducting further investigations.
