Rs. 5,000 one-time nutrition allowance for pregnant mothers

 

In view of the prevailing disaster situation and the upcoming festive season, arrangements have been made to provide a nutrition allowance of Rs. 5,000 to pregnant mothers, the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs said.

The one-time allowance will be given to pregnant mothers who are registered at maternal clinics on or before 30 November 2025. Distribution will begin on 16 December through Divisional Secretariat offices.

The programme is being implemented by the National Secretariat for Early Childhood Development, which operates under the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, as part of the efforts to support maternal health during the festive period.
