Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe to get top position in SLFP

 

 

Former Parliamentarian and President’s Counsel Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe is due to be appointed as a Senior Deputy Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

According to party Chairman Nimal Siripala de Silva, the proposed appointment is expected to receive approval at the SLFP’s upcoming executive committee meeting.

He said long-standing legal disputes involving the party have been resolved following discussions with Rajapakshe. According to de Silva, Rajapakshe has withdrawn six court cases connected to the SLFP as part of the settlement.

De Silva further said that Rajapakshe has been invited to support the party’s future political agenda.
