Thick mist in Central hills

 

Heavy mist prevailing in the Western slopes of the Central hills has disrupted civilian life in several areas and obstructed transportation. Police said mist has been experienced in the morning and evening for several days. Hatton - Nuwara-Eliya and Hatton - Colombo highways and by-roads in the hilly areas were the worst affected, Police request drivers to be cautious when passing through the affected areas and to switch on the headlights to have a clear view of the road.
