Unlicensed alcohol worth Rs. 500,000 seized in Ella

A stock of unlicensed liquor kept for sale was taken into police custody in Ella, Bandarawela. The Bandarawela Police Excise Unit conducted sudden raids on 16 Hotels and Restaurants in Ella yesterday (December 20).

The stock is valued at Rs. 500,000. The owners of the respective Hotels and Restaurants have been given notice to appear before the Bandarawela Magistrate court on the 8th of January 2019
