Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma blessed with a baby!

 Indian team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma are now parents of a baby girl. Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the couple from fans and celebrities across the country.

Anushka Sharma gave birth to the baby girl at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital on January 11, 2021. Sharing the happy news on Instagram, Virat Kohli wrote, "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat." Opening up about becoming a father, the Indian team skipper had earlier mentioned, "It is an incredible feeling. It puts things into perspective for you. It is difficult to describe how you feel, but when we found it, we were over the moon."

"The kind of love that was showered on us when we announced it was amazing. People were genuinely so emotional and happy for us. We are looking forward to the third member joining the clan. We never got so much time to spend together ever since we started seeing each other. This is the longest we got to spend together. To be home with the one you love, you couldn't ask for anything better and we just made the most of that whole time and created a routine for ourselves. We didn't pressurise ourselves on learning this or that. It was tough initially, but we got used to it," Kohli added.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had confirmed the arrival of their baby in the first month of 2021 late last year. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy in December 2017 after dating for several years.
