Drone Cameras to spot quarantine law violators

 A special surveillance mission will be executed in the Colombo City and suburbs today to monitor those who violate quarantine rules and regulation.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the police and intelligence services were alerted that the residents of  Colombo City and suburbs violate quarantine rules and regulations.

He said it was reported that they conduct meetings and other activities with a large number of people and to some extent, public gatherings too are said to be conducted in residential apartments.

“STF and local police are going to conduct a surveillance mission especially in the Colombo city and the suburbs with the help of modern technology such as drone cameras,” he said.

DIG Rohana said all the residents are requested to stay indoors and obey quarantine rules and restrict movement.
