Two digging for gold in 10 year old grave, arrested

 


Two persons who were digging for gold from the grave of a businessman who died 10 years ago have been arrested at a cemetery in Valvettithurai.

The Valvettithurai Police received a tip off that two men were trying to obtain gold jewelery after digging a grave of a man who was buried in the Urikadu cemetery ten years ago.

The suspects, aged 48 and 50 have been identified as residents of Valvettithurai in Jaffna.

The suspects who believed to be fishermen had also been digging graves of the dead at the Urikadu cemetery for years.

They would be produced before the Point Pedro Magistrate's Court.
