Police constable arrested along with his lover while in possession of heroin

 A police constable of the Hungama Police and his lover who were involved in making packets of heroin had been arrested by the Tangalle Division Crime Investigating Unit during a raid carried out on a lodge in the area, the Police said.

They had in their possession 28.580grams of heroin at the time of arrest. Investigations revealed that the 41-year-old suspect woman was a resident of Thalalla in Tangalle.

She had been carrying on the racket for a long time.the constable had joined her in the racket at her instigation.the suspects were to be produced before the Angunakolapelessa Magistrate yesterday.

OIC- Crime Investigation Unit of the Tangalle Division IP Nandasiri Gamage is conducting further investigations.
