Nissanka Senadipathi behind egg attack on Anura: JVP

Claiming that the egg-throwing attack targeting JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake was a politically motivated and organized attack, JVP MP Vijitha Herath said today that Nissanka Senadipathi’s Avant Garde Security Firm was behind the attack.

He told a news conference that a group led by Senadipathi’s security firm involved in a similar attack at a protest march organized by the JVP in Colombo Fort recently.

He said Senadipathi was a confidante of the President and added that it was clear that the attack was politically motivated.

MP Herath also said two complaints were made with regard to the incident and that the two suspects had revealed that they were paid Rs. 5,000 to carry out the attack.

The JVP Parliamentarian said those who resorted to such a spiteful action, not to do such things and urged them to confront with policies.
