Four arrested for hoarding 18,800 litres of diesel

Four men have been arrested by the STF for hoarding 18,800 litres of diesel in Hambantota.

STF said the raid took place near the Hambantota fisheries harbour when the large stock of diesel was being transported to the Wellawaya area in two lories including a lorry transporting fish from the harbour.

The value of the seized diesel stock was over Rs. 8 million.

The suspects were handed over to the Hambantota Police
