Medical Faculty students located several hours after being stranded in Hantana mountains

Hantana, Dec 3 (Daily Mirror) -Students of the Ragama Medical Faculty, who were stranded due to bad weather while climbing the Hantana mountains, were rescued after several hours in a joint operation by the army and the police.

At least 180 students of the Ragama Medical Faculty had climbed the Hantana mountains yesterday afternoon.

Police said there were 60 male and 120 female students among the group.

They had reportedly lost their way back due to the heavy fog at the time.

 However, police said that the university students were located following a six-hour operation after police received the information.
