தியாக தீபம் திலீபனின் 𝟑𝟕 ஆண்டுகள் நினைவு சுமந்த நிகழ்வு சிட்னியில்!📸

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 – 𝟑𝟕 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐎𝐧

Today, we honor the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Thileepan, a brave and selfless leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), who sacrificed his life for the freedom of the Tamil people. 

37 years ago, Thileepan, medical student turned liberation fighter embarked on a 12-day hunger strike campaign, refusing food and water to protest the unmet political demands of the Tamil people. His fast was an ultimate act of non-violent resistance, akin to the struggle of Bobby Sands in Ireland. 

His memory serves as a powerful reminder that the quest for justice and equality transcends generations.
