Suspect arrested with over 8 kgs of ‘Ice’

 

A team of officers from the Elpitiya Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested a suspect in possession of a large stock of the drug ‘Ice’ during a raid conducted today.

The raid was conducted following a tip-off. The suspect was found with 8 kilograms and 580 grams of the drug and was subsequently handed over to the Karandeniya Police Station.

The arrested individual is a 39-year-old resident of the Karandeniya area and is due to be produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
